So our website got hacked last week, and I am not gonna lie… it threw me for a loop.

After rocking a few awesome events, I went to check something on our site and realized that almost all of our page links went to sites I have never heard of. It turns out that there was a serious bug with one of the old plugins we had installed that we never finished setting up. This bug allowed bots to creep into our pages and add php extensions to our site. If you didn’t fully understand what that means, neither would have I a week ago.

The thing about owning a decor business is that it is so much more than being good at designing spaces. It is also being bookkeeper, secretary, marketing professional, legal, and yes… even a web developer. One minute I am sending decor inspiration, then suddenly it’s 2 am and I am still rebuilding a website. 

However, this whole endeavor has been a great reminder of how far we have come as a company. Today, we have systems in place that make the other stressful parts of our job more streamlined. We also have a great client base who also trust in our processes. A year ago this would have been absolutely overwhelming, but now… it’s just mildly inconvenient. 

So now we have a better website. After all of this, I can’t wait to get to something easier… like transforming your space into the venue of your dreams!
